We source all of our hair directly from our trusted supplier in Russia. We have two grades of hair extensions available - Premium Grade and Virgin.

Our premium hair has a life span of around one year and is the most commonly used hair at our salon. It has gone through minimal processing and our clients love it. Virgin Hair will last for years, each tail is priced differently so we will only be able to provide you with a quote upon consultation.

We always make recommendations after assessing your hair, allowing you to make an informed decision about which application type is best suited for you. If you’re willing to follow aftercare instructions to care for your hair correctly and keep up with your maintenance appointments, you won’t have any issues.

• Our Premium Russian Hair will last up to two years depending on what type of hair you choose – we stock virgin and coloured hair. Coloured hair will last 12 months minimum and

• Virgin Hair will last for years.

The longevity of the hair really comes down to how you maintain and care for your hair extensions, as well as ensuring you keep up with your maintenance appointments. With all these factors taken into consideration you will be able to increase the lifespan of your hair extensions.

Russian hair is soft, light weight, durable and blends in perfectly with the texture of your natural hair. Unlike other types of hair extensions, Russian hair doesn’t become dry or brittle after just a few months of wear. You can re-use the hair for as long as you like, so although the upfront cost is a bigger investment…it’s worth it in the long run. Because this hair is considered gold standard, it’s not cheap for us to purchase, or easy for us to source. So please do keep in mind that you get what you pay for when it comes to hair extensions. We offer re-bonding and maintenance services and affordable rates; this allows you to get the most out of your hair extensions.

Ren Salon offers a variety of application methods to cater to different hair types, when choosing an application method you should keep in mind how often you’ll need to come for maintenance. We offer free consultations as they allow us to assess your hair in person and understand your needs before advising you on what method would be best for you.

• Keratin Bonds: Keratin Bonds are our lowest maintenance application method and are suitable for most hair types - for fine hair we recommend a full head of Micro Bonds. Maintenance is required every 3-5 months, depending on how fast your hair grows.

• Mini Bonds: Mini Bonds are an extremely small, more discreet version of keratin bonds. They are great for those with fine hair or for those who want a super discreet application. Please be aware that because we have to apply around double the amount of Mini Bonds to create the same amount of thickness as a standard bond, this method will require a long appointment. Maintenance is required every 4-6 months, depending on how fast your hair grows.

• Micro Beads: Micro Beads are our most popular application method due to the fact the hair can be moved up easily - with no heat or glue required. We use small beads that match the root of your hair to ensure a discreet application. Micro Beads require maintenance appointments every 6-8 weeks, this allows us to move the hair back up to the root and replace the bead.

• Nano Beads: Nano Beads are an extremely small type of Micro Beads; the tip of the extension is tiny and can be placed around the hairline and higher up without showing. Many clients opt for a combination of Micro & Nano Beads, whilst others prefer having a full head of Nano’s. Please be aware that due to the small size we need to add more Nano Bead’s to create a full head so this will require a longer appointment.

• Tapes: Tapes are our quickest application method, allowing you to achieve long thick locks in just a few hours. Maintenance is required every 6-8 weeks; this includes removing and re-taping the hair before reapplying them.

• Wefts: We offer the LA Weave and Invisible Weft application method, which includes creating a track with micro beads and sowing a weft onto the hair. We use flat track, wefts, which are lightweight and discreet. The seam of the weft is sown flat onto the natural hair to ensure a discreet application. Maintenance is required every 6-8 weeks.

The cost is calculated on several factors, taking into consideration - what grade of hair you choose, how much hair you require, what length of hair you want and also which application method you choose. We’re able to source straight, wavy and curly Russian hair. Wavy and curly hair are usually custom orders, as each donor has different textured hair - we can show you the ponytail before you decide to go ahead with getting extensions. This will allow us to ensure you are happy with the colour and texture of the hair. If your hair is curly or frizzy but you want straight extensions, we would recommend getting one of our hair straightening treatments before we apply the hair extensions.

Maintaining permanent hair extensions is not hard at all. Hair extensions are still extremely versatile, allowing you to style and wear your hair as you usually would. How versatile your extensions will be does vary depending on which method you choose to go with.

To ensure that you get the most out of your hair extensions, it is best to wash your hair every 2-3 days at most - preferably once a week. Of course if you sweat more, or if you’re a regular at this gym then we understand that this may change. A huge part of caring for your extensions is ensuring you brush your hair with a paddle brush regularly, especially after washing your hair. Regular brushing will ensure no tangles or mats occur. And of course keeping up with your maintenance appointments is essential.

Washing Hair Extensions is super easy and not too different from your usual routine. With hair extensions using a Sulphate and Paraben Free products is a MUST. Ensure that you do not get any conditioner anywhere near the roots, as this may cause the extensions to slide out. Pat dry your hair with a towel, brush from the root with a paddle brush and apply a heat protectant before blow drying and styling. We recommend using a hair mask once a week to ensure your hair extensions are hydrated to keep them silky and smooth.

We have hair extension friendly products at our salon that we recommend. We’re more than happy to talk you through how to use them.

The answer is YES! You can swim either at the beach or the swimming pool, but you must make sure to tie your hair to avoid tangling and matting. Keep your hair hydrated whilst you’re in saltwater or chlorine by applying a leave-in treatment or mask, as it is crucial to ensure your hair stays moisturised during your activities in the water.

As soon as you’re done, shampoo your hair twice and condition your hair as usual. If you have blonde hair, now is a good time to use a blonde hair mask to maintain your colour.

You can still go to the hairdresser and get your roots/crown touched up as normal, your hairdresser can avoid dying the hair extensions in the process. Alternatively, we can remove your hair extensions if you’re wanting an all over colour done and then refit them afterwards.

If you wish to dye your hair extensions, this is at your own risk. However, if you wish to do so - it would be less damaging to dye your Hair Extensions one or two shades darker. Lightening your hair extensions will require bleach and this will affect the quality and look of your Hair Extensions. We recommend you always dye your hair first, then choose extensions to match your desired colour.

Reminder - we can add lighter or darker shades into your hair without the need to dye it.

Safe removal is key to preventing damage. We don’t recommend removing your Hair Extensions by yourself, as you could risk damaging your own hair if you remove them incorrectly.
